Charlotte works in the pharmaceutical industry for AstraZeneca and contacted us as she wanted to update her business headshots with a professional studio lit portrait suitable for social media, professional use and also on her company’s website. We were able to offer advice for the shoot on the kind of outfits that work well in business headshots and also put her at ease in front of the camera. A lot of people have never had a professional business headshot taken in a studio before and the idea can be a bit intimidating, so we do everything we can to make it a relaxed and enjoyable experience. With our years of experiencing photographing portraits and headshots in the studio, we work in an unhurried way making sure we take our time to get the shot you’ll be happy with.
Charlotte brought a change of outfit which we encourage as it’s always good to try a couple of different looks which can create a different feel and mood to the headshot. It’s a good idea to avoid stripes or strong patterns as these can look visually distracting, especially at small sizes. We’ll give you advice when you book your business headshots with us so you can prepare with the best outcome in mind. You can leave the rest to us!
We took several shots capturing a variety of expressions and angles, so that Charlotte had a good selection to choose her favourites from. It also means that the headshots can be used in different scenarios and across different media such as LinkedIn, Facebook as well business and professional websites.
After the shoot the selected images are culled, edited and delivered in colour and black and white. We also do minor retouching if required, although this is usually not required. The images are downloadable from a password protected online gallery. To see more examples of our headshots and portraits, take a look at the gallery and get in touch to enquire about availability.
“Thanks so much, they’re great!” – Charlotte, AstraZenica.
